    Our History

    Strive first opened its doors as Howe Sound Rehabilitation Services Society in 1988 in North Vancouver with the establishment of Windsong House, a residential home that had accommodations for three people with developmental disabilities. In October of 2014 we proudly became Strive Living Society. Today, Strive Living Society provides a range of residential and day program services to over 150 adults, youth, and children with acquired brain injuries, developmental, physical, and health care needs.

    Head Office

    Our Head Office located in Burnaby is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly volunteer to assist our Office manager. As the Receptionist volunteer you will:

      • Assist in the general day-to-day office administration and special projects, as required.
      • Assist office personnel with filing, typing, label making, envelope stuffing, mail merging, photocopying, writing and distributing memos, assembling packages of materials.
      • Promote a positive, gossip-free, team environment through effective communication, respecting professional boundaries, giving and accepting feedback in an acceptable manner, and working collaboratively to resolve conflict and make decisions.
      • Perform the duties of the Office Manager in their absence
