    Exciting opportunity exists for the right individual to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Full Time LPN Supervisor. The position entails working with the Assisted Living Program Manager, RN’s LPN’s and Care Aids providing care to Adults at our Assisted Living Locations in Burnaby.

     

    It will involve some supervision, administration tasks, delegation, providing support and assistance to those who provide care to individuals who are physically disabled with minor mental health issues or have acquired brain injuries. The successful applicant would be very organized and would have good leadership skills.

     

    Responsibilities

    This position is Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (unpaid lunch)

     

    Start date: ASAP

     

    Job Duties Include:

    • Ability to effectively oversee and use nursing students to enhance the clinical services and benefit the service recipients.

    • Ability to act in accordance with established policy and procedure on a daily basis and in the event of emergencies.
    • Respect for professional boundaries.
    • Familiarity with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of community resources.
    • Flexibility to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments.
    • Completing daily documentation
    • Administration of medication

    • Possess knowledge of when to assume assignable and/or delegable tasks
    • Maintain documentation and reports as applicable to each program (e.g. Log Books, Communication
    • Books, Professional Visitation Forms, Quarterly Reports, Care/Service Plans, Individual Program Plans, developing and implementing health care plans
    • Reportable Incidents
    • In collaboration with the Program Manager develop tenant care plans and service plans upon entry and when the need arises
    • Update tenants’ progress based on care plan every three months
    • Direct Support Services as well as Administration

    Qualifications

    • Criminal Record Clearance.
    • TB Clearance.
    • Proof of Measles Immunity.
    • Annual Flu Vaccination.
    • Proof of Eligibility to Work in Canada.
    • Mobile phone.

     

     

    Job Qualifications Include:

     

    • LPN Registry number and certificate
    • Minimum of 3 year in similar role 
    • Minimum of 1 year managerial experience

     

    Compensation: $25.75 to 29.52/hour to start plus benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements.
