    Exciting part-time, entry level opportunity for a highly organized, efficient, and energetic individual to join our growing and progressive NPO as an Administrative Assistant in the Human Resources department. The HR Admin Assistant will work within a diverse team providing support to the HR Department and operations team. This role is best suited for an individual who has general administrative experience supplemented with HR experience or education. The HR Admin Assistant must be an ambitious self-starter and team-player, with strong work ethic, and friendly, positive attitude.


    The key accountabilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Data entry, filing, and maintaining paper and electronic files and information
    • Communicating with new and existing employees to collect documents
    • Conducting reference checks using sound judgement and analytical skills
    • Communicating with, preparing and collecting documentation from applicants/personnel
    • Assisting other HR and office personnel with completing administrative duties


    Experience and Qualification requirements:

    • Degree or Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration, or Human Resources
    • One or more years of previous experience working in a comparable role
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Knowledge and experience with database systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with iCIMS or other ATS an asset
    • Experience with SharePoint/ShareVision an asset
    • Knowledge of and/or experience in social services/community living an asset
    • Non-profit experience an asset

    Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm (20hrs/week) may be flexible, with occasional evening and weekend work.

    Immediate start available.

    • Starting rate is between $18/hr to $21/hr while on probation, with opportunities to advance.
    • Fully paid benefits package upon successful completion of three (3) month probationary period.
