    Our History

Strive first opened its doors as Howe Sound Rehabilitation Services Society in 1988 in North Vancouver with the establishment of Windsong House, a residential home that had accommodations for three people with developmental disabilities. In October of 2014 we proudly became Strive Living Society. Today, Strive Living Society provides a range of residential and day program services to over 150 adults, youth, and children with acquired brain injuries, developmental, physical, and health care needs.

    Our Mission and Vision

To partner with individuals of diverse abilities to lead healthy, fulfilling lives by providing a foundation of support.

Building a continuum of services to support the needs of individuals at every stage of life.

    Responsibilities

At our Residential Group Homes we support adults between the ages of 19 and 64, who have developmental disabilities. We currently have 6 locations at our program and we are looking for volunteers at our North Vancouver location, who are available on Mondays or for a minimum of four (4) hours a week in assisting our service recipients in their recreation program.

We are looking for volunteers who are excited to share their talents and hobbies with our service recipients. If you enjoy sewing, woodworking, photography, crafts, and many other activities, and would like to assist our service recipients in learning your skills and talents, please send your resume to Martina Prato at martina@striveliving.ca.
