Exciting opportunity exists for the right individuals to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Support Worker in our Children and Youth Department. The position entails working in specialized residential settings with individuals who are diagnosed with developmental delays, PICA, FASD as well as Autism, OCD and challenging behaviors.
The ideal candidate must have experience supporting youth with complex behaviours and an understanding of the challenges present for verbal and non-verbal youth with Autism, challenging behaviors and other diagnosis.You must possess knowledge of positive behavioural support strategies, visual support strategies, sensory support strategies, medication administration, critical thinking skills, have the ability to write reports and complete the necessary documentation, as well as maintain boundaries, provide daily structure and consistently follow the support plan outlined within a warm and supportive environment.
Working Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
