Strive Living Society provides a range of residential and day program services to over 200 adults, youth and children with acquired brain injuries, developmental, physical, and mental health care needs. We currently have casual and part time positions available in the following programs, with opportunities to grow within.


  • Community Support Workers for Home Care
  • Work Sites: Lower Mainland 
  • Salary: $19.31-20.34 / per hour
  • Hours: Varied
  • Requires a class 5 BCDL and reliable vehicle
  • Cantonese speaking woul be an asset


  • Job Summary: Within the context of a client and family centered care model and in accordance with the established mission and philosophy of Strive, the CHW assists clients with the activities of daily living to promote maximum independence. Observes and documents on client’s health condition and environment, reports significant and unsafe conditions and provides support and guidance to clients. Support to clients is provided in a way that reflects the guiding principles of home care – choice, privacy, independence, individuality, dignity and respect. Promotes client’s self-direction and personal decision-making. Home support duties may include, but not limited to personal care, bathing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, running errands, transferring.

Skills Required: Personal Care, Med Administration, Light Housekeeping 


Must be able to obtain:


- Must be registered with BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry

-Criminal record check

-Negative TB test

-First Aid and CPR Certificate

-3 References

-Food Safe Certificate

-Mandt Course Certificate

-Class 4 or 5 Driver’s License, Reliable Vehicle and a clean Driver’s Abstract
