Strive Living Society is an innovative and dynamic non-profit organization that strives to provide accommodations and supports to adults with acquired brain injury, mental health diagnoses, as well as physical, developmental, and medical healthcare needs.
Strive Living is currently seeking families and individuals in Vancouver, North/West Vancouver and Richmond area who are interested in providing shared accommodation or independent suites within their home, supervision and support to persons with varying degrees of needs. We require care providers to perform duties which may include overseeing medication administration, meal preparation, grocery shopping, assisting with personal finances/budgeting, community integration and transportation to and from medical/dental appointments. We are looking for candidates who have some experience providing care to individuals with disabilities or an interest in helping others gain independence. Candidates must be available to provide ongoing daily support and have access to a reliable vehicle. Funding contracts could range from $1,500 to $4,500 net per month.
**Valid BC Driver’s License
** Be comfortable working individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals
** Have a minimum of one year experience working with individuals with disabilities
** Have a minimum of one year of medical experience (i.e. care aide, nursing, community support work, social work, etc.)
** Educational certificates in the following are also an asset: Nursing, social work, care aide, community/personal support work, etc.
